Generation’s Day is  scheduled for October 3rd this year and will highlight the nostalgic feel of the farm and the traditional fall activities that upstate New York and Maple Shade Farm have to offer. Bring a grandparent and they get in free. The day’s events will include an exhibit of antique farm equipment, agricultural antiques and demonstrations. Visitors will be able to watch an old-fashioned cider press at work, enjoy our antique exhibit on the third floor made posible by the Delaware Historical Association, check out a working antique engine and take a horse and wagon ride. Apples will be the featured product of the day. A pie sale and old-tyme games will treat old and young alike.

In the afternoon enjoy a country auction possibly taking a treasure home. This event will be community building and educational with a focus on getting several generations together to reminisce and understand the past, present, and future of agriculture in Delaware County and New York State.
